Scarf/handkerchief "The Tale of "SKADE & ULL"". Drawn by Enar Ström in the late 40s. Skade was the goddess of winter, skiing and hunting in Norse mythology, she was skilled, strong, wise and brave, fast on skis and a sharp shooter. Skade and her male counterpart, the winter god Ull, are mentioned as early as the 8th century in a Nordic writing. Intended to be a safe and inspiring companion on the ski trip.

HANDPRINTED TEXTILES – SWEDISH CRAFT SINCE 1946

Welcome to Frösö Handtryck, where we create handprinted fabrics using traditional screen printing techniques in Nälden, Jämtland. Our collection includes curtains, cushions, runners, towels and bags – all crafted with care using sustainable, water-based pigment inks.

We collaborate with some of Sweden’s most renowned designers, including Gocken Jobs, Emma von Brömssen, Carl Johan De Geer, Lotta Kühlhorn and Japanese designer Toshiyuki Fukuda – each bringing their own artistic expression to our textiles.

In our studio, we also offer custom-made curtains, and our bags combine handprinted fabrics with leather, produced under responsible conditions.
