Our production

Hand printed in Jämtland

All our fabrics are printed by hand in our printing house in Nälden, west of Östersund/Frösön in Jämtland.

Tyger

All fabrics in all products are printed in Nälden, in our printing house we have refined the art of printing patterns by hand since 1946. Our screen printing technique means that each color is applied manually, layer by layer, creating textiles with unique character and high quality.

We use water-based pigment inks, carefully mixed by hand by our skilled master printers. As our method does not require subsequent washing, we save large amounts of water compared to conventional printing techniques.

After printing, the colors are heat-fixed, and each textile is carefully examined in a manual quality control. At Frösö Handtryck, design, sustainability and craftsmanship meet - a process where each print carries with it a piece of history and solid know-how.

Sewing

The fabrics for our products are hand-printed in Nälden using traditional screen-printing techniques before being turned into finished textiles in our own sewing studio. Here we sew cushions, towels, runners, curtains and other products with great care and precision.

Our studio is staffed by an experienced seamstress, which allows us to offer both standard collections and customized products according to the customer's wishes. By having the entire process under one roof, we ensure the highest quality and sustainable craftsmanship - from printing to finished product.

Every stitch and detail reflects our passion for Swedish textile tradition, design and sustainability, and we are proud to create products that last over time.

Leather bags

The fabrics for our bags are hand-printed in Nälden using traditional screen printing techniques before being sewn up into finished products. At Frösö Handtryck, we work with suppliers who share our views on quality, sustainability and good working conditions. Our leather bags are manufactured in Dhaka, in a factory that complies with the Amfori BSCI standards for social responsibility and sustainable production.

The factory employs almost 1 900 workers, a large proportion of whom are women, and offers permanent jobs, fair wages and a safe working environment. Health checks, fire safety and training are part of the factory standard.

Environmentally, the factory works actively with resource management and sustainable production. This ensures that our bags are produced under responsible conditions, where both people and the environment are in focus.
