Marie Gudme Leth (1895-1997) was a prominent Danish textile artist who achieved great recognition both in Denmark and internationally. Thanks to her pioneering efforts, fabric printing was given the same status as other crafts. Her beautiful patterns fascinate and charm - and are still relevant today. With her designs, she wanted to spread beauty in people's homes, and with our production we hope to revive her vision.

This pattern, ”Kirsebær” is one of Marie Gudme Leth's most iconic designs, made in 1946.

Welcome to Frösö Handtryck, where we create hand-printed fabrics using traditional screen printing techniques in Nälden, Jämtland. Curtains, cushions, runners, towels and bags are made with care and sustainable water-based pigment colors.

We collaborate with some of Sweden's top Designers, including Gocken Jobs, Emma von Brömssen, Carl Johan De Geer, Lotta Kühlhorn and Toshiyuki Fukuda, whose designs give each textile a unique character.

In our studio we also sew tailor-made curtains, and our bags combine hand-printed fabrics with leather, made under responsible conditions.
