Jute Christmas tree mats - hand printed with tradition and design

Christmas is about feeling - the scent of the tree, the shimmer of the candles and the small details that create the atmosphere in the home.
A Christmas tree mat from Frösö Handtryck is part of that feeling. Hand-printed on jute in our printing house in Jämtland using traditional methods, it bears traces of both craftsmanship and history.

Hand printed in Jämtland

Each Christmas tree rug is printed by hand using water-based pigment inks on natural jute. The process requires precision and patience - from color mixing and pattern setting to the actual printing and sewing. The result is a textile with life, texture and personality - created to bring warmth and atmosphere to a room.

Patterns with personality

Our Christmas tree mats combine tradition, color and shape in different ways - from classic to playful:

  • Mori no Seirei by Toshiyuki Fukuda - a quiet, poetic motif inspired by the winter forest.

  • Kottgirlang by Lotta Kühlhorn - a graphic interpretation of nature's forms with a clear Christmas feeling.

  • Mammas Jul by Karin Mannerstål - a warm, nostalgic interpretation of Swedish Christmas.

  • Julbock - a Frösö Handtryck classic that celebrates Swedish Christmas tradition.

  • Vide - a stylish, nature-inspired pattern in soft colors.

Craftsmanship and sustainability

Jute is a natural material with character - durable, vibrant and beautiful in its simplicity. Our Christmas tree mats are printed in small editions, with respect for both material and environment. Each rug is intended to be used for many Christmases to come - as a recurring part of the tradition.

A timeless part of the Christmas spirit

A hand-printed Christmas tree mat from Frösö Handtryck creates more than just a beautiful base for the tree - it adds feeling, warmth and harmony to the whole room.
A meeting between form and tradition, where each print carries with it a piece of Jämtland and our craft history since 1946.
