Toshiyuki Fukuda
Toshiyuki Fukuda is a Japanese designer and illustrator known for his detailed and poetic expression. His work spans several creative fields, from book and magazine illustrations to product design and artistic collaborations. With a distinctive style inspired by nature and mythological elements, he has established himself as a prominent illustrator both in Japan and internationally.
For Frösö Handtryck, Fukuda has created the exclusive pattern "Mori no Seirei"which means "Spirit of the Forest" in Japanese. The pattern is a tribute to the mystery of the forest and the deep connection between nature and culture. With an intricate design language, he captures the magic of the forest in a harmonious balance of organic shapes and carefully composed details. This pattern is printed by hand on our textiles, giving each product a unique sense of craftsmanship and tradition.

Just as Frösö Handtryck is committed to craftsmanship, sustainability and Scandinavian design, Fukuda has strong roots in traditional methods while exploring new creative expressions. His designs fit well into our range of hand-printed fabrics, interior textiles and sustainable products, where art and function meet in timeless beauty.

In addition to his work for Frösö Handtryck, Fukuda is involved in a variety of design projects. He collaborates with the POSIPOSY product brand and has illustrated an extensive series of animal motifs for Adventure World in Japan. He is also active in ceramic art through the Toshiyuki Fukuda Animal Series project, in collaboration with Chugai Touen.
He has also written and illustrated several books, including Toshiyuki Fukuda Works 1 & 2, and collaborated with other authors on a number of picture books.
